May 17 was an emotional day. We saw the National Cemetary at Utah Beach. The first time I saw all the crosses was really a sobering moment. It makes me think about the sacrifice and bloodshed brave soldiers made for the freedom of this great nation. Walking through this cemetary is a reality check that freedom is anything but free.
We're a group of 13 people attached to Roane State Community College in one form or another, whether we be students, teachers, or staff. For 18 days, we rent vans & see every possible sight in the Normandy & Paris regions of France. This blog is where we document where we've been, what we've done & what we've seen.
